Private Lessons

The private lesson program was established to encourage the student’s continued growth in music, which also enhances and continues our tradition of excellence in music. It is one of the distinctives that continues to make Central a unique educational environment. This program is offered to all students (k-12) and takes place during the school day. Students receive a grade for lessons based on preparation, attitude, attendance, and mastery of skill. Due to logistical and educational concerns, some restrictions apply. Students in kindergarten through grade 8 are allowed one instrumental lesson per week during the school day, and high school students are allowed two per week during the school day. Voice lessons are only available for high school students. An occasional exception may be made for individuals with a unique situation or need.
