Suzuki Method

The Suzuki Method is based on the approach that musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability which can be developed by any child who is properly trained. Loving encouragement and constant repetition are some of the special features of the Suzuki approach.

As when a child learns to speak, parents are involved in the musical learning of their child through this method. They attend lessons with the child and serve as their “home teachers” during the week.

Dr. Suzuki’s goal was not simply to develop professional musicians and instill a love for music, but to nurture loving human beings and help develop a child’s character through the study of music.
