Community Service Day seeks to instill the Biblical gifts of service and giving. Students and faculty have the opportunity to connect with donors and explain our mission at Central and the reason CSD has been a viable fundraiser for over 40 years. This year, calling will begin on Monday, October 3. Grades 7-12, faculty and staff will be serving at over 25 non-profit locations including Habitat for Humanity, area nursing homes, churches, municipalities, Every Woman's House and more. We consider ourselves blessed with your support!
This is our first priority in fundraising. Tuition pays for approximately 65 percent of the total cost of education at Central, leaving a gap of funding to maintain our operation. All contributions from our Annual Auction, Central Service Day (CSD) and other fundraisers go toward our Annual Fund.
Endowments provide essential support to maintain or update current facilities or construct new campus facilities. Unlike the Annual Fund, an endowment is established to continue generating income.
The endowment fund is invested and professionally managed to produce additional income. As the principal grows, so does the amount that is transferred to the operating budget. Up to 5 percent of the endowment earnings are transferred to the operating budget each year.
Though the cost of tuition at Central Christian School can be a challenge for some, our goal is to offer financial assistance to all in need through the tuition endowment fund.
By growing this fund and handing out a greater amount of tuition assistance we strengthen the diversity among us, ensuring that Central Christian School is a viable option for anyone interested, not just the middle or upper class.
