MSC Choir Festival
On the weekend of April 11-13, Central will play the role of host school for the 66th annual Mennonite Schools Council (MSC) choir festival involving ten of our sister schools.
An anticipated 350 students will converge on the Central campus and be under the direction of Dr. Kevin Fenton from Florida State University. Dr. Fenton has conducted in 35 states and has had the distinction of conducting twenty-nine all-state choirs. He was also founder of AVoice4Peace, an international collaboration of singers, and has led these events in diverse places including Kenya, Indonesia, Ireland and China. We are thrilled to have him agree to returning for his second time as an MSC conductor.
Thank you to the many local individuals who will be helping with hosting, feeding and entertaining these students! The individual choirs and mass choir will perform in a free community concert in Central’s gymnasium on Sunday, April 13 at 3 PM. View the live stream of the event starting at 3 PM which will be posted here and through Central's YouTube channel.
