“Through this musical, I transformed from being shy on the stage to gaining confidence through my talents. I also had discovered a community that made my high school career all the more special.”  -Caislyn Hummel, Class of 2022

Theater opportunities at CCS begin in fifth grade, giving students an early chance to explore the stage. Middle school students present a spring performance each year, while high school students take part in a fall play and a spring musical. All productions are held in Central’s state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, providing a professional setting for our talented casts and crews.

Drama productions at CCS do more than entertain — they help students discover and develop their creativity, self-expression, and storytelling abilities. Through the rehearsal process, students gain valuable skills such as memorization, choreography, teamwork, and public speaking confidence.

Whether the story is a comedy, drama, mystery, or historical piece, our middle and high school ensembles learn to collaborate closely and bring characters to life. Rehearsals include theater games, lessons on the art of performance, and focused work on characterization — creating a rich, memorable experience both on and off the stage.
