What do you appreciate about coaching at Central Christian?
“Central creates a unique opportunity for players and coaches to both strive for excellence in the sport, but to also acknowledge that it should not be a person’s full identity. Being a committed follower of Jesus helps me to hold that balance, to be committed to character development, to love and care about our players, and to also push them to work toward reaching their athletic potential.”
What does “Athletics with Purpose” mean to you?
The idea of "Athletics with Purpose" serves as a constant reminder that this is so much more than volleyball. The goal here is not only to create strong and competitive teams, but to help create an environment for young women to grow and mature. We desire to help players be healthy people first (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually), then athletes, then volleyball players, and then often a specific volleyball position.
Favorite Bible Verse
Psalm 62:5-8, “Yes, my soul find rest in God: my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”

What do you appreciate about coaching at Central Christian?
I love the relationships formed with the players and the opportunity to foster faith formation while coaching volleyball.
What does “Athletics with Purpose” mean to you?
Athletics with a purpose means that while I want to teach the girls to compete at a high level and help them reach their potential, success is not measured solely by wins and losses. Success, to me, involves helping student athletes develop the character of Christ, both on and off the court.
