“Central exists to develop the whole person, not just the academic side of you. Chapels this year have been different, but they have been so special. So many faculty members and students have given chapels this year, and that has changed the culture of chapels in a positive way. God speaks to us every day at school.” -Claire Yost, Class of '23
Daily chapels provide opportunities for varied experiences as students listen, process, and respond. Elementary school students have chapel in the multi-purpose area Monday through Thursday. Middle and high school students come together daily for 20 minutes in the Performing Arts Center. On Fridays, chapels have become a “Sabbath” time for the community to sing in unison and experience the transforming presence of God.
Students find leadership opportunities through hospitality and welcoming guest speakers, public prayer, planning, and recommendations of topics and speakers.
